Career Discovery Platform
Over 2 years, I led an ML platform product for teens to expand their career prospects. From discovery through to optimisation, including user research, iterative testing and funnel improvements to drive 30x lift in user registrations to 343k
I led a comperehensive design process with user interviews, testing and iterative improvements. We've tested 3x different directions and created 1000s of prototype wireframes
Teens explore potential careers via a galactic art direction: Clicking on stars and jumping through wormholes to discover new potential paths as they go. Recommendations are powered by a Machine Learning model trained on all jobs available in the United States
The journey starts with an interactive quiz, which gives us an insight into the participant's career fit via their RIASEC profile, based on decades of theory by psychologist John Holland. It is a useful framework for narrowding down career directions especially when somewhone feels overwhelmeed by options. The platform then learns further about the user's preferences by their interactions with the personalsied content feeds within the site
